About Me
|
I'm Karl Humphries.
My first introduction to fly fishing was in the late 60’s on the Isle of Man, fishing the small but productive River Sulby. Since those early days I have worked to become a Master Instructor and assessor in both Casting (single handed and double handed rods) and Fly Dressing. I have demonstrated casting techniques all over the globe, even demonstrating to The Queen and Prince Philip. As a qualified instructor I am able to help clients in any aspect of game angling and fly fishing, be it on river, stillwater or saltwater. I am based in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire but have clients thought the country. I am as keen today about fly fishing as I was as a young boy and still spend many happy hours fishing around the world, meeting interesting people and seeing spectacular creatures and scenery - as there is always more to fishing than just catching fish! Although it’s always a great feeling when one jumps on the line. Besides running The Adipose Fin I work with Get Hooked on Fishing, a registered charity (No. 1132448) aimed at offering young people a brighter future through angling activities. I also serve on the committees of The Prince Albert Angling Society and the Grayling Society. “Wild thing you make my Reel Sing” |
